Meet the Teacher
My name is Mrs. Millhouse. I have had the privilege to teach art at both elementary schools for 15 years. I graduated from Kutztown University in 1998 with a degree in Art Education. I have taken many classes at Millersville to earn my Masters Equivalency. I continue to take courses to get ideas for art projects and to help the students of Columbia achieve. I like to bring project ideas I see in other schools into my own classroom.
I have focused a great deal of my own art in drawing and painting and still continue to create art on my own. I have also had experience with clay, metal and other 3-dimensional mediums. Outside of the art classroom, I also like to run. If I am not painting or running, then I am probably running after my children. I have three children whose ages are 2, 3, and 6 . To top it off I also have a puppy who likes to dig holes!I am glad to be back teaching at the two schools and to get a break from changing diapers all summer!
